On July 1st, the overall replacement project of the hydrogen pipeline in Longmen Glass Energy Workshop was safely and smoothly completed with the tense and arduous efforts of all construction personnel.
The hydrogen pipeline of Longmen Glass Energy Workshop was first built in the late 1980s. Currently, the pipeline network is aging and some gas supply pipelines are severely corroded, which poses a great hidden danger to the safety production of the main line. In addition, there was no filter installed at the outlet of the hydrogen purifier at that time, which led to the accumulation of molecular sieve powder and rust on the inner wall in the pipeline for many years, increasing the gas flow resistance in the pipeline network. As a result, some impurities in the pipeline also entered the tin bath with the gas, affecting the gas supply efficiency, hydrogen purity, stable working conditions, and glass quality. In order to eliminate the safety hazards such as the large amount of rust generated in the pipeline blocking the gas supply pipeline, protect the tin solution from pollution and oxidation, and maintain a stable atmosphere in the tin bath, after professional demonstration, the Longmen Glass team has decided to replace the old hydrogen pipeline as a whole, completely solving various problems that occurred during the previous gas supply process.
The installation project of the hydrogen transmission pipeline was officially launched on June 20th, after careful arrangement and deployment of technical guarantees, safety prevention and control measures, and personnel allocation and command during the construction process. In order to ensure the normal operation of the pipeline as soon as possible, the construction workers gave up their holiday breaks and worked overtime under the scorching sun, fighting continuously. During the construction process, a dedicated person is arranged for on-site supervision and monitoring of Longmen Glass, and safety and quality control are strictly carried out in accordance with requirements to ensure that pipelines and accessories are selected with products that meet national standard specifications and are suitable for hydrogen working pressure and temperature requirements. Although the weather is hot, they completely ignore it and focus on the key construction links, conducting strict spot checks and inspections on pipeline welds. They require the construction party to rectify any hidden dangers found in a timely manner to ensure the quality of pipeline welding. During the entire construction period, the Longmen Glass supervisors were covered in mud on their pants legs and soaked in sweat on their backs. Not a single one of them left the site, and they were eagerly undergoing a different kind of work baptism. Under the premise of ensuring installation quality and strict pipeline cleaning and blowing, after a full line leakage test, the seamless steel pipe hydrogen pipeline replacement project meets the high-purity gas quality supply standards, and the project quality has passed the expert group acceptance smoothly.
On July 12th, the complete replacement project of the hydrogen pipeline with a total length of nearly 200 meters (diameter 89, DN80) in Longmen Glass Energy Workshop was successfully reversed and put into use. The completion and use of this project is conducive to protecting the tin solution from oxidation, polluting the glass, and reducing the consumption of tin; Maintain a slight positive pressure inside the tin bath to prevent external gas and annealing furnace gas from entering the bath and oxidizing the tin solution; Maintaining a reducing atmosphere in the tin bath, adjusting the relationship between large circulation and microcirculation, and increasing the circulating gas volume at the end of the pipeline network. The overall replacement project of the hydrogen pipeline has been successfully completed, which not only improves the quality of the company's products, enhances the overall strength and regional competitiveness of the company's products, but also creates favorable conditions for the sustainable development of Longmen Glass.
